Why do I not have any reply’s over a hundred views but no comments why?..
tn_metal_detector.gif
1st - If a member(s) can't ID - why reply?

2nd - You had two threads with the same question, etc. I just realized you posted different items. Sorry, I thought you posted twice for the same ID so I merged both threads into one - my apologies.

3rd - If no one can identify your find - you might consider posting your pictures on ROCKS/GEMS for more exposure...

Interesting looking rock finds EmphamissEyecis. :hello2:
Great advice from vpnavy to post them in the Geological Forms as well.

"Lucerne Dry Lake and Rabbit Springs Dry Lake are two dry lakes within the Lucerne Valley. A variety of small meteorites have been found and documented from these two dry lakes. The Blackhawk Landslide is a prehistoric landslide that is one of the largest known in North America is in the southeast corner of the Lucerne Valley. The Chimney Rock is a registered California Historical Landmark, located in the mountains north of the Rabbit Springs Dry Lake and of Highway 18 near the Rabbit Springs Road junction. It is the site of the last battle between immigrant settlers and a Native American tribe in the Mojave Desert. Conflicts between Native Americans and white settlers over the rich lands of the San Bernardino Mountains culminated in the battle at Chimney Rock on February 16, 1867. Although Native Americans defended themselves fiercely, they were forced to retreat into the desert. In the years following, traditional Native American mountain food gathering areas were lost to white encroachment. A historical marker is beside Highway 18, next to the welcome sign on the town's western border."

You've got a lot of history in your part of the country, I'd be out there investigating it instead of stuck in my house if I were you.
Dave
