It looks like a Bell, Im sure you will get the Info shortly. Nice find Good Luck

I think it's a button, but I wouldn't know what it's from

found this small brass piece today in a well hunted area. and just wanted some help on id'ing it. thanks for any help guys, blu:icon_thumright:

It looks like some type of bell to me.

It's a dime... Definitely a dime. Probably a 1994P. That other thing looks a lot like a bell to me.

ROFL!

The item looks like an old bell. Place a BB in there and see if it rings :)

ok. thanks guys!

Looks like a bell off an old cat collar. They used to put bells on them so the birds had a chance.

Could be a button because the one side doesn't have a way to attach it. Round buttons would be smooth like that. If it has a round ball in it it would probably be a bell.

I agree, due to its size a button makes more sense
Bells almost always have slots or holes on the bottom to release debris or water, or they wouldn't ring
with no pea inside its most likely not a bell

I have to concur. My initial thoughts were a bell for obvious (and not-so-obvious) reasons. I found an old bell that looked identical, but it does have a very small mark where it looked like a loop was. This one does indeed appear to be a button at second look. If the seams are connected and not pressed or bent together, it's probably a button. Nice eyes, everyone!
