Found this cast bronze item metal detecting on an old farm. I know it's a long shot but does anyone have any ideas about who the figure is?

I think it is unlikely to be a crest of any sort. The ribbon is more whimsical than heraldic.

I wonder if it is The Beast, from the story, Beauty and The Beast. The first written version was published in 1740.

"The Beast" was my first thought as well. Pendant? Brooch? You don't give us the size or show the back so it's difficult to say...

The piece is very poorly cast. Possibly a carnival souvenir? Jo-Jo the dog faced boy?
