Any Idea What This Is?

Hi all!

I found this with my metal detecting pinpointer in some soil (about an inch down). I couldn't believe the strength of the signal given how tiny it is (maybe 4mm on the longest side). At first, I thought it was lead given that it's quite weighty but when I got home, washed it, and looked at it through a loupe - I was quite surprised and have absolutely no idea what it is! :laughing7:

Unfortunately, the pics aren't great as I took them through the loupe with my phone. With the naked eye, it's possible to see little glints of green and gold-like colours here and there. It's 0.24g, and doesn't react at all to a very strong neodymium magnet. It does however make my pinpointer scream from an inch away! Any ideas?

Cheers,
John

From your description I would say like lead. Dense, non-magnetic, electrically conductive.... is it soft? I've found similar pieces of lead (bullets, etc..) quite a a lot.
