Any idea on what this box is worth?

Found this amazing wooden box at an estate sale today. I have no clue what the symbol on the back means also having a hard time putting a date on this guy. Any help who's greatly appreciated!

Symbols can have many meanings. The electronic symbol for ohms resistance looks much like that, at least when I write it.

My wife says I am the only person she knows who cannot reliably read his own hand-writing.

Not sure about it's value but it sure looks like a cigar box to me...

Looks like burl wood to me. The swans look like it's either inlay, or pyrography (wood burning) If the wood is really light, it could be monkey pod. Looks like a humidor. Not sure of the age. No idea on value.

It is difficult to answer, but I think the value of this box is very small. It looks like usual box with nothing special.
