Any idea how old this is?

Found this sand dollar on a beach in humboldt county california, thought it was neat finding one intact, let alone "petrified" like. Anyone got ANY idea how old this thing possibly could be?

My first thought is that it looks like it took an oil bath. There was an oil spill in Humboldt Bay at the end of 1997.

I hope it is a cool fossil instead.

If you found it in its original formation, it can be dated by the age of the formation. Here is a link to common Humbolt County fossil locations. Page 4 shows a geologic time scale and fossil locations.
