i think that size and weight matters cause they had to hang it on the neck.

Could be an ancient roman (Italian) international greeting sign where symbolism matters more than size...:laughing7:

Not a pendant... IMO...
Tis a belt buckle part.
Ancient bronze buckle part to be exact.

Sorry, I mean no disrespect, but I have to chime in with a question
considering all the wear on this item, why is the hole so clean cut
the edges look to be smooth and even
