Any ghost towns near Roswell?

Planning a trip to Roswell over the 4th. Was wondering if there are any interesting spots to detect while I'm in the area. Any believeable stories of treasure near there (other than the alien kind). This will be my second visit to New Mexico. I just love it there. Thanks,
