Looks like the flywheel for something small that had an electric starter

My first thought was a wheel off an old push lawn mower, but, it seems a bit heavy duty for that. Maybe I'm just too used to the flimsy junk they've made in the last 50 years.

I think you got it! The inner drive teeth are for the blade spline. I shoulda remembered - I had to spend hours behind one of these as a kid.

Yup, that was my thought. I guess I never had one old enough that had a nice heavy dutyness to it! :thumbsup:

Nice job, guys. Thanks. That makes a lot of sense. It is heavy but the size would be right for that type of application. It has a bit of detail on it, so it would make sense that it would be used on something that was exposed (as opposed to an internal piece on a larger machine). This tells me that maybe the location was not used as a farm field but instead as a lawn and/or garden.
