My great great grandfather was wounded there. Jasper Layman. His brother Martin was killed there. He was with the 27th IN infantry with Gen Hooker. He was wounded during the fight at Millers cornfield. A spent ball hit him in the ankle and ended the war for him. He was lucky and I was too. Him surviving the war is why I’m here today.
