HIt the dirt this morning and found a old iron lock. Don't think it will clean up all that well but I will give it a try with electrolysis. Found a old iron key too. Also found a silver ring. Haven't found one of those in a long time. The bottle is marked chesebrough mfg co Vaseline. I think it's from around 1890's to 1900's

Found the bottle about 3/4 buried. Pulled it right out of the ground.

It's not the key to the lock. Just happened to find a old iron key too.

Wouldn't it be cool though, after you clean them you find out the key does open the lock??

nice finds man :icon_thumright: i really want to find one of those locks

I was gonna ask if the two went together-oh well, cool anyway. Key is cool and the bottle is adorable.

Cool stuff you got there Greg  the ring looks like silver, I've got a few of them kind of bottles stashed away somewhere from digging bottles when I was a kid, if the seam doesn't go all the way to the top then it's probably late 1800's but if the seam goes all the way then it's probably early 1900's.
