This weekend I decided to get some play time in. I did a little detecting/sifting in one of my decent sites. I was sifting about six feet away from where I had found a really nice USA button a few months ago. About one foot down, six feet away, out came another high grade matching, USA button!!! That's number four for me. The other two came from another site and are coat size but one is really beat up. How many are on a soldiers uniform? :usflag:

HOLY S$$T!!!!!!!

Nice work. That button is great. Congrats!

You are killing it :occasion14:

Well done, it's in great shape to boot

Really nice!!

Stop finding them ; you’re driving down the value!!!!! Congrats

Awesome job! I found two rare buttons about six feet apart as well. Did people bury coats or something? I hammered the spot afterwards, but I'm thinking I need to go back to it with the updated Nox's new frequency setting.

I've noticed a pattern with many of my of my good finds. No matter how many times I go over a site and how many different detectors I use, I'm only scratching the surface. While sifting is really hard work (especially in this heat) it really pays off.:cross:

Killer USA button. Both are in great shape!

Ya know that’s an excellent point. I have one location in particular ; a spot where there are three cellars and no other sites for miles . Very remote. When I found it was was untouched and brimming with finds . Several areas around the sites were packed with non ferrous objects ; buttons coins etc. The “newest” coin I found was a Connecticut copper. I know this spot still has much to uncover out reach of any detector. My plan is too build some sort of sifter I can pack in and do some digging. Main problem is that it’s about 3 miles from the nearest parking site and I can’t use my quad . Anyway you are absolutely correct . It’s worth the effort on these extra special sites.

What are the odds? That's excellent, just as beautiful as the first! Nice going, great recoveries

The recovery of these high grade Rev War USA buttons is fantastic. Banner vote submitted! The recovery of just a single button is a dream find, and you recovered two by having the drive to gamble with your time and effort in sifting. Good for you - great for you! :icon_thumright: I haven't had much luck in sifting a few sites over the years, but perhaps I'll make another effort.
