I found another tiny version of what best fits a Breckinridge

Other option that would fit better for the site but I don’t think matches as well would be a rare washita variant, they still seem to have some semblance of a notch and I’ve found washitas and the base isn’t worked the same

Last thought was maaaaybe a drill… any opinions welcome I get skeptical when I get into paleo/transitional possibilities

Sleeping on it I may be more open to a drill but I’ll double check the profile it was more flat like a point but maybe it is just round enough to be a drill.
Update: My gut just doesn’t think drill, but I also haven’t handled a lot myself. The thinning towards the base, the way the ears are formed, the flatness… all the dimensions are in line with similar sized points… but I took some pics incase I’m wrong

I love a good mystery.
Just jumping in. It’s not my area though.
It looks like a small Eared Lance with a pretty cool flaking pattern. Rather than a dart or projectile, I think it could have been more of a tool/drill type artifact, due to the wear on the sides of the tip.
The larger Breckinridge example appears to be eared-notched.

That little lance is intriguing as well. But tiny! Is the basal area ground?

The little white one isn’t ground, and the other was a far cry from the many triangles and huffaker types i usually find, if I ever get it figured out it may add a new chapter in the history of the site. It’s definitely unique. That said it’s easy to want a find to be something special when it could be just a drill, or a odd ball triangle that just happens to look fluted(white one). I’ll just let this one simmer and keep my eyes open for comparable examples. Every so often I’ll stumble across an obscure reference in a random book that explains something I’ve found
