Today dawned bright and sunny, so after yesterday’s sweaty swing, I elected to traverse the river bank where there would be some shade, could not persuade himself to get in the River… but we had a great time nonetheless! Xx


A Beautiful but crushed thimble, clack valve weight (?) 2 fishing weights (?), musket ball, 2 Livery buttons, both Manners/Peacocks, minic triangle toy key (1950s) more buttons, a few unknown bits with a neat lead roll, a cow ear tag, 2 penny’s 1873 and 1935, a gorgeous 1920 shilling and a 1921 French franc!

And as ever a couple of pics to show you where we played! xx

Stellar photos! Love the bits and bobs recoveries.... The thimble crushed or not is beautiful...and the pic below it looks very interesting....I'd also be curious enough to detect the river as well...but maybe too deep? Congratulations 👍
