Howdy all,
Today I hunted the 1908 home that has been my focus for the week. The finds are gettin slim but not gone yet. I only had a limited amount of time but made it last. First coin was a 1937D wheat, Then I pulled a 1944S wheat out of one of Detectingfreaks plugs lol. I already told him about that too. ;D. Then I got my silver for the day. I was removing all the shallow targets along the walkway, and bingo. I got the 1943S merc. It was content to hide under a root until I came along and rescued it. Lastly I got a real neat 4H pin. Not sure of the age but it says Patent Applied For on the reverse. Called it a day after that. I included pics of the house and yard. Most coins were recovered on the left side of the home in that nice flat grass strip.

Oh and as promised to my wife there is a pic of the handfull of coins she rescued from the coin star reject tray. And yes that is a 1964 silver dime. Shes still grinnin.

Cool digs there.
The 4-H pin is for the first year of membership. A youngster would join a local 4-H club and do projects or show livestock and the pin would be given to the member at the end of the year. These were not awards for showing of livestock or projects, but for years of membership. The pins are awarded 1-10 years.
