Did not see any snakes which was good.

The finds of the day were the 1883 and 1897 Liberty ("V") Nickels.
That got me into the 1800s club, and my first Liberty Nickel too.
I think this is my first thimble too, but not my first harmonica reed.
Continue to add to the 12 gauge shotgun head stamp collection too.

Congrats on getting out and enjoying the hunt. :occasion14: I like those V Nickles. They still elude my coil.

Nice finds Nick. :thumbsup:You have got love it when you hit the square nails, know it's going to be good. What were the V's showing up as?

They came back in the low to mid 50s on the AT PRO.
That is weird because a Liberty Nickel is 75% copper 25% nickel?
The other anomaly is one weighed 5 grams, the other 4.4 grams.

Nice hunt.
Congrats on the thimble and also breaking into the 1800's.
