FISHEYE, thanks for the info. I have been looking at one of those for a while wondering if they are any good. Would be nice to have one in a BC pocket for those quick over the side checks. SO you think it's good ? What type of depth in sand in saltwater ?

Charles,
i was finding encrusted iron spikes 1 foot down in the sand,i also found a encrusted object alittle deeper then that, its really heavy,i have to xray it,it might be gold or silver inside.the MD fits right in my bc pocket, but i had it fastened to my front shoulder strap with a piece of velcro,we had a Archeologist there with a aqua pulse and he didnt find anything,we blew a 15 foot hole, most of what i found was around the sides an at the bottom,we brought up one section of a timber for FL state,i also got a ballast stone with a encrusted piece of metal on it,have to xray it too.

Sounds good. Did you say they will sell direct for less than the price on their web site ?

If you get a chance will you run it over some gold and let me know how it does. Thanks

? ?8)? About cutting the Sled loose from the towing vessel to investigate a target!
We used to have a few "Dog Bones" with about a 50-70 ( or! Whatever!) foot line and with a small colored float/flag!
When you saw a "target" you dropped the "Bone"!
It would head down and unwind and the float would "Pop" to the surface!
The "bone" was flourscent in color so that we could easily see it underwater!
This way, we could cover a pretty good size area, without stopping every ten feet ! :-\
