I never really had much experience with small dollars. I dug this one from the pounded park today and noticed that it was different from the one I dug last week...this one is gold ???

Is it part of a mint set?
or
Is it just gold toned?
Is it worth more than a dollar?

Thanx y'all

The overall composition of the Sacagawea Golden Dollar is 88.5% copper, 6.0% zinc, 3.5 % manganese, and 2.0% nickel.

The one you found recently was a recent drop that didn't have time to tarnish..when they've been in the ground a while they lose their "gold" color and turn brown.

Gold plated. It is still just a clad $1.00 coin. But it is gold plated.
The Sacajawea dollars are not gold plated. Like Nat said. It was a recent drop. It has not yet had time to tarnish.
