Hello everyone,
Got something really cool again.
Got it this summer, maybe a month ago, at a local flea market in P.E.I.
I went out with the intent of treasure hunting and wasn't disappointed,
(i hunt my treasure more often at sales , i have more success finding stuff that way than digging.)
very modestly priced $...,it was on the bottom of a large pile of old jewelry...
I have since had it tested and apparently its not sterling.
its about 1 & 5/8 wide,,, 1 & 6/8 tall.
weights 24.4 grams
top hoop is broken, i added the rope myself.
i have done a bit of research, its a Greek style cross, a very old style medieval or older,
looks a lot like some Viking crosses and hammers.
can anyone can speak as to the relevance of the markings? im geusing the 5 sacred wounds of Jesus, but with two crosses for both feet, total of 6 x marks.
