Dang! Another dig cut short. This time, the river depth dropped about 1 1/2 feet in 30 minutes. I had to reset my bilge pump twice, and then, I could see a huge span of ice coming down to greet me, which it did. A very ominous sight to witness. On the bright side, signs of spring. Canada geese are back, and the bugs are coming out of hibernation. Life is good!👍

I had the sorta same thing happen to me on my last dredge trip to Wyoming. It was a 16 hour drive to get there and we set up camp and got the 4 inch dredge into the water the next morning and started dredging . We knew the forest fires were about 10 miles away and moving in a opposite direction of where we were at. BUT after about 4 hours of dredging my mask got cloudy while under water and smelt a little smokey . When I finally popped up from under water it looked like a heavy fog bank rolled in!!!!!!!!!!!! We went back to camp and while I was changing into dry cloths I heard a knock on my trailer door . It was Wyoming FS guys telling me to load up RIGHT NOW and LEAVE !!! WHAT A BUMMER !!:BangHead:
