Found this barber dime today at one of the parks I detect at in nj. This is the third beat up silver I've dug there that looks this way. This one looks the worse. But I will gladly take it. I was using my new 13" ultimate coil for the first time. First impression.....I like!

It sure is strange how stained your silver is coming out of the ground at that site. But I'm sure you will take it anyway!

Congrats on the silver, your soil definatly is not to silver friendly.

And another silver today....

Once again I was early going into work. Stopped by that same park. (One that is hunted extremely hard) and found this sweet cruddy 1944 quarter. This place sure beats silver up.

The soil there must heavily mineralized or acidic to do that to those coins, but hey, silver is silver so CONGRATS!!

That Barber looks counterfeit. Does it VDI like a normal silver dime? I once dug a counterfeit merc and it was made out of some pot metal type stuff.

Sweet find happy hunting
