Had a productive day yesterday with 4 wheat cents, 2 silver Roosevelt dimes, 2 Mercury dimes, a silver Washington quarter, and a standing liberty quarter. Add a couple of rings (junk unfortunately) a Mexican coin, a couple of keys, a big spoon, and some change, it made for a fun day. Not shown was all the fishing weights and scrap metal I found too. 3 of the silver cleaned up nicely. The other 3 were a bit corroded. I figured the Washington quarter was going to be corroded as I found it down in the wet sand, but, the other two were way up in the dry where the salt water doesn't reach, even at an extremely high tide. Oh well, can't win them all. The 1939 Merc came out looking like it was dropped yesterday. :icon_thumright:

If you show the reverse of the standing liberty quarter you can tell if it’s a type 1 or type 2. No stars below Eagle is type 1. Liberty’s boob is showing on type 1.🤣 1916 and part of 1917 only. This was when the big push for prohibition was on, and enacted in 1919. A bunch of tea totaling boob haters were around back then.😠😁

Yup, well aware of how to I.D. the SLQ. Been coin collecting for over 60 years. This one is a 1928D, which was visible before cleaning....not so much now :BangHead:
