Another newbie here

Hello, been lurking here for a while. I live in South Central Michigan. Im a total newbie and went detecting one time w/my new machine. I call it my first lesson using a Minelab X70. I was hoping for a few more trips out into the field but Im looking out the window and watching the snow fall. Therefore I will be surfing the forums for ideas and tips. If there are any other folks out their who would like a new detecting parner please let me know.
There are lots of fine folks here and hopefully I can personally shake some of your hands.

Welcome Wannabee! You are going to like that detector. I have one and use half the time for land hunting and the EXII for the other half of the time. Sometimes you just get tired of swinging that beast and the XT70 is a pleasant break. I do okay with the 70. I keep challenging it with a trashy old school yard. I keep pulling up old coins just about every time I visit the site. Don't be a stranger and ask any questions you need answered. Cal
