Well I'm a bit slow to post but even rain falls in the desert at times and I get around to posting also. This being my first post I'll just breeze over the basics and post more later.
I got my 250 on May 31 and after using it almost daily since then, I do like it and I really do enjoy the MD hobby!! Like a baby's first steps, I did stumble a bit for the first few hours but I seem to be catching on now and can almost tell what the 250 is saying. I have zero experience with other machines but from what I have experienced the last few weeks and from what others here have said I think the 250 is a good starting point for many and even a good second machine for many others.
As I said, I will post more later and include pictures when I can figure out how to take clear ones and size them properly but so far I have found my first IH (1900), a couple of silvers (standing lib quarter, well worn ), a few Jeff nickles and a LOT of memo clads! Oh, did I mention . . . a bucket of taps, caps and misc trash. But, on the bright side, my trash ratio has stabilized at least, maybe even dropped off some.
Over all I love the hobby and it gets me out in the fresh air and sun. Before I close I want to repeat what many others have said . . . . this is a GREAT site and I have learned SO much here, I just hope I can contribute something to it from time to time.
Thanks for letting me be part of this group and HH to one and all . . . .
