Another new sluice build

Looks like he built his frame with PVC. and then used a fountain pump from harbor freight . He only has one tub I would use two, the first for settling. You would have to figure out the angle unless he said in his comments. I didn't look. I would drill and bolt the two pieces together. If you ask around here or look on YouTube you can find out how to do whatever you don't know how to do, there are some vary talented people here.

These things catch gold very well. If you take it and cut it from the wid side to the narrow side so it is equal width, about 4.5 inches wide. then build a shallow 3/4 inch pine box to hold it in place. Think of using it as a riffle system but leave the back wall. Use the back wall to pipe the wash bar. They work awesome as concenrators. here is a diagram i made for ya.

then construct a box about 2.5 inches high and wide as well as long enough to hold the gutter riffle tray.

The wash bar can be mouted to the top af the back ledge. or you can drill a hole for a 3/4 inch wash bar. I have owned and built many a sluice lol, and suprisingly I was very happy with the way this one worked for concentrates on a recirculating pump. Good luck to ya! Happy Prospecting.

I'd really like it if you post pictures of yours that ways I get a Better look and understanding of what you mean

I think they are best used as a clean up sluice though as those riffles are really small, if your wanting a stream sluice I wouldn't go with one of those as your not in total control of the water flow when your out prospecting. I'm not saying it wouldn't catch some gold if it were to be used prospecting but I would think you would be losing more than your catching.

I used that exact splash block with some silicone down the sides for that purpose, really have to run it sloooowwww. Got the idea from one I saw on Ebay that some clown was selling, his had a small patch of what looked like Scotchbrite wingnutted to the upper end. LOL.

Yea I dont see value in selling one. Scotch brite ad miners moss is used at the wash bar to smooth the water out. It works for miller tables and the like for many systems. Even the s-1employes something similar i believe.
