Another low yield colonial site with some nice buckles this time

Found a little iron patch about a half mile from copper hill and closer to the creek. Second signal was the toasted copper but that would be it for high conducters. The rest would mostly be little tombacs and buckle fragments including most of an openwork shoe buckle found scattered about the site. The button with the design came from another area but I think its colonial era too. Also found an 1882 IHP. The only newer target other than shotgun shells/modern lead. Weird but I often find a lone later coin mixed in with the colonial stuff. My theory is its a visitor to a long abandoned foundation. My favorite find was the little tinned asymmetrical buckle

I just love finding these early sites and the excitement that comes along with it. Whenever a complete buckle, nice looking copper or any silver turns up then thats just an added bonus for me.
