I got off to a fast start today, finding 10S, 35 & 36 wheaties and then a 61D Washington quarter. I followed up with a 44 Mercury dime a little later, with some interesting relics in between. I found a small (1.5 inch) toy airplane, missing one wing; it appears to have been a DC3, and there was still some red paint on the wing and fuselage. Under the remaining wing were the initials USA; unfortunately, any other identification was probably under the missing wing. Also found was another token, this one for 25cents in trade at A.SLOV.E.B.A.A in McKeesport, PA. From what I know about this area, I'd bet it's a Slovak organization; any Pittsburghers with information? I'm always happy to find a Merc; since I have almost two complete sets, they make great souvenirs for the people who give permission to hunt. Oh, another thing; I found a money clip, empty, of course. I wonder how long a few folded bills would last in the ground.
