Nice find! Post your cob on the cob forum and you may get more info.
 

You can determine its denomination by its weight--based on an 8R weighing about 27+ grams. Dividing 27 by 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8th will give you the max. weight for each of those real denominations ( 4R, 2R, 1R and 1/2R); then compare that weight to your coin's.

Thanks for info. I posted Cob in Spanish Cobs. I think it is 200 years history of cobs. Can't wait to find out more about it.
