Went back to the same spot this morning. Found 2 flat buttons, and old coin to ruff to see any markings and a powder flask. Looks like a bullet hole in the flask.

wow! how does a powder flask survive in the ground?! Bits of leather I have found down here are mostly rotted away attachments to a buckle or other metal piece. The engraving on yours looks great and clearly old. Looks to be a great spot for more hunting! Cheers mate
