We hit the same fields as last week :P the heavy over night rain had dried off leaving perfect conditions, first field we did was the one we finished on last week were I got the scrappy Hammered. Managed a small silver Brooch or mount Georgian I think and a nice William111 penny 1700 and a few nice Buttons, one Silver
After lunch we moved on to the field were the Hammereds had been coming out in a small area in the corner, I said last week there could be a scattered Hoard and after about 5 minutes here I had another Edward? hammered there are a lot of stones in this area, and I think they are masking the signals, or the Hammered are underneath the stones.
This now my 12 Hammered for 2010 and my eighth from this small area over the past couple of years...all Edwards But not to be out done Michael once again winkled the best Hammered of the day, from the same area... a stunning Alexander111 Scottish Penny 2nd coinage he also found a tealby Cut half
