I was about 3/4 quarters of the way through the area I had planned on hunting this morning and had had very very few targets. The weird tidal actions lately have seemed to have reversed the lay of the land, per say.

Then I started getting some signals. Some foil a few coins and I thought okay, here we go! I was playing with the Excal II this morning and then I got this awesome pulltab signal. I knew it had to be a pulltab, but as the sand sluiced through the scoop and I checked the bottom I saw that yellow circle in disbelief. I could see the line of hallmarks and the fancy engraving of the inscription and thought..."nice ticket".

I continued on and picked up another couple coins and the silver band. Out in the water I could see the inscription in the silver and thought okay a white gold, but it seemed kind of light and sure enough, upon closer inspection I could see the oxidation. Who gets inscriptions in silver?

Once I got home and had the loupe I saw the hallmarks. First thing was "375". I thought 9K? Man I was a little disappointed but it's gold and it's a ring!! The other hallmarks are BBROS, scales, 375, and the leopard's head. So it appears to be a Berker Brothers ring made in London. Not sure of the date but I'm sure it is modern since it's a spinner.

Thanks for looking and good luck out there!!

Still looking for my first spinner...........you seem to find them every day.

Nice find.

I run the Excalibur in disc. It is my back up machine when I am hunting certain areas or when I'm tired of digging bobby pins. My primary machine is the Seahunter MK II.
