With that many coins found, I think you may suprise yourself with a silver soon....Most places I pounded out, i will be lucky if I dig ANY coin out...Im sure there is a Silver lurking underground somewhere

Great finds to me!

How can I metal detect at a local park legally? Do I need to get permission first or is it okay since it's a public park? <- Just started detecting.

Where are you located? If its Public, then you can be there, I guess it depends on what city you are in

Nice finds !

Check local ordinances for laws, most public places are ok I think.

Nothing too exciting for Last Saturday...A No Date Buffalo Nickel, 8 Wheats. With all that wheat you would think I would get at least 1 Silver....We have pounded this park though, and not too much left...I need a larger coil to get the deeper stuff now...

HH,
How deep were the wheats and buff? The silver shouldn't be much deeper, maybe you need some rain to help that silver shine?

Congrats! It makes my day if I get one wheat, with that many you deserve 6 sliver at lest!

Sorry for the late reply to all, thank you all for giving me information about the park question
