Another Barber With "The Coil" ~ 27 Wheats, 5 Silver in Two Short Hunts!
Hello Everyone,
Yesterday morning, Mike (oknorom) and I went to a couple of local spots along the smoke free Southern Cal coast to try our luck at some of the turf deepies from some heavily Explorer'ed areas. Armed with my new SE Pro coil, my confidence was high. I scored three silver today, and about 18 wheaties, including a 1912 Barber dime. One of the silver coins, a Rosie, was in an old plug. Love when that happens. Someone forgot to re-check their hole. Last Friday, on a couple hour hunt, I managed 2 silver and 9 wheats from another hard hit site, which also happened to be from an area I had never been able to get very much from two previous trips there. I am very impressed with this coil, if I haven't told you already... If you're wondering how Mike did, he did very well today with his 1050, scoring as many silver as me.
Oh, forgot to mention, I thought I had found a silver half after seeing a large rimmed coin in my plug, but it turned out to be a 1953 Uncle Sam 50 Cent piece play coin. On the reverse is what looks to be a deer head with the words "Falsa Pecunia" on the bottom.
So the streak continues with the new coil. Life is Good!!
Thanks for looking! Stay cool and well hydrated out there!
