Put about 4 hours in today on the gold coin field. Scored some tombac buttons, fancy ball button and leather mount? on the circa 1800 site out there as well as a merc and IHP while exploring other areas. Also found the 1875 German 1 Pfennig in another area. Really like the design of the eagle on these. I got 5 more coppers in the gold coin area. Found two of them in a small area that also produced the 1834 William IV six pence. I think its safe bet to say it was in circulation at the same time. Wish it had been a capped bust dime though

Very cool, nice hunting.

Great hunt, the Bullhead still has lots of detail.

For my four hours.........I got the grass mowed, babysat the grandson a bit, ran an errand and now having a drink. I think we both did well, but I am loving your coin finds a bit more than my margarita:laughing7:

Thanks. I dont recall ever seeing much if any pre Victorian British silver dug in US but the US mint was producing so little at the time that they used whatever they could get their hands on
