Well after digging the 3 center I could hardly wait to get back to the spot today. Took a 3 hour lunchbreak starting at noon and met up with Eric there. I showed him the 2 plugs from yesterday for the 3 cent and the 1867 shield nik. The good thing was they are about 50" from each other so we each had a claim. Mine was the silver spot. After an hour of nothing we eventually swapped areas without a word spoken. Another 10mins of what Eric had just gridded with his Etrac and I was ready for plan B, a new spot I have never been to but lots of History there. No sooner after yelling over to him
to change venues, I hit a fairly solid signal, next to big iron. I have Eric scan it and he thinks its iron and I must just be off taget a bit making it sound like something better
Well, it turns out to be on of my best finds ever. Not only my first 2 center, but in perfect condition too. My only other finds were the 2 IH's. No clad at this spot!

nice two cent love finding them... found 1 this year just as nice as that one...

Congrats John!! You have found an awesome site, I've got a site that gave up 3center and a 2center also, with lots of iron
to hide under.

Oh man!! You really know how to pick the sweet spots :occasion14:

The '64 is one of the nicest 2-centers I've seen dug (oh, and I'm still hoping for a silver 3-center some day).
