Andy Sabish post on update

Not sure how it will interface when v4 comes out. I have it downloaded and there is a section for 3 months of premium membership with an XP discount code. To me it looks like any other detecting app. I can tell you I'm not going to pay monthly or yearly fees though (if that's what's required to get anything above other free detecting apps).

Yes, this update is unnecessary, unnecessary because we only release flawless products and ver.3.2 is therefore, by virtue of it's release, flawless...just like the previous versions remain.

Reactivity - flawless
VDI - flawless

So you see, version 4 will be more flawless. You can take that to the bank AND...

~ and to stay slightly on topic... I have Andy's book for my CTX. I signed up for updates and information via email almost a year ago. So far, not one update or anything.

Does anybody get anything via email or is it my computer?

I have Windows ME I use it as much as my Mac Lisa maybe more

I just got my XP two days ago and was really torn between the xp, e-trac, and v3i. Readings posts like this and seeing that every time an update comes out, I basically get access to a new metal detector through the updates, makes me super excited that for once, i made a the right decision on what to buy.

Considering same 3 machines myself and went with XP, updates were a factor but not over-riding.
I think its an exaggeration to say we will get "a whole new machine". Refinements, improvements yes ,, Which really is cool enough.

I think they will inevitably come to a point where they design and release a whole new control box, and at that point the euphoria about updates will expire.

you did buy the right machine. there is alot of buzz going on about the update right now. you did good and congrats on your new machine.

The only update from Andy that I am waiting for is the release of the revised version of The Minelab Quartto and Safari Handbook.
