Ancient hammered coin? Can anyone translate it or date it?

Hi all,

I "recovered" an old silver, "coin earring" yesterday. I've never seen anything quite like it but it looks to be a hammered coin with Arabic writing inscribed on it. Can anyone translate the markings or perhaps estimate the era of origin? Please see attached photos.

It's reminds me of a 1/2 real Spanish cob! Thanks in advance!

It's an old (very old) Islamic coin. Poorly struck coins like this are very hard to identify, especially for the untrained Western eye (like mine).

Here's one from the mid 1300's:

When you say you "recovered" this earring, is that a ppolite way to say you swiped it? ;)
Joking of course. Really cool and unique earring.
