Hi to Everyone,
i had found an old letter while was digging a hole for the water... suddenly noticed the letter which wasnt normal, i mean not simple paper, it was different material like something skinny..
and the other thing is that language, which is written in it, is clear jewish, like on the image you can see... but one thing what made me curious, is what could be written? what means?

anybody can try to help me?

Digging a hole and you found a [possible sheep skin Temple Scroll written in hebrew or aramaic]...hmmm

Please describe the approximate geographic location and soils conditions.

This may be the find of significant historic importance...even a Banner find.

Might want to contact BAR..(Biblical Archeological Research), they have whats called a special monetary Sniff Awards Program.

BAR has the resources to evaluate the genetics of the donor vellum and can also determine the age, and date it chronologically as to where and when it was written...and possibly the author(s).

Wow...this is the most significant find since 1947...

The location exactly dont know, but can say that was found in North Africa (Libya),(Tripoli), Qaser Bab Ben-Ghashir...The Location, its after Tripoli's International Airport... people say time ago Jewish lived there!... so you judge what can be!

I think there must be a Translation issue here.
am wondering if when he says "Don't know" he may mean "Personal Info"

Libya may be an Awesome Country to Visit, But I may not want to
say exactly where I Treasure Hunt there, if I did :laughing7:

It's a part of Sefer Bamidbar("Book of Numbers") on scroll, and as there was a flourishing Jewish community in Lybia(last Jews were expelled by Gaddafi's regime during 70's) I believe it's something that was left behind.
It worth to be in touch with Lybia Jews community in Israel for more information about it...

where ever it was, it wasn't touching ground that gets wet.

unless it is plastic (Bakelite) of course.
not sure then.

im guessing algeus, reads hebrew since he/she knew it was this.....

and the OPs piece of scroll was prob from the 1800s, this one has the same type of
those lines in the background as the OPs img

The yad, pointer, is indicating where the Feast of Shavuot begins in the Torah. This Scroll
was written in the 1800s on deer skin in Iraq.

Yes,probably it was a part of Torah scroll.Again, there are Lybian Jews communities in Israel(I'm sure google will help you to find them) - they or Israeli museums may find this interesting...
