Today dawned bright and sunny, so we headed back to the same fields as yesterday, mainly due to the Limited off road capability of my car! 😆 xx The rape crop has failed in these fields so we have them all winter, we have six fields to choose from, and they are just outside a village and have natural water.

Im just going to say it, today I won, no question, hands down I had an epic day. But let me start you off with what I think is a pen lid (?) it’s clearly flatterened and bent, but I’m not sure what else it could be. I think it says Mervyn xxxx , 1st Worcester and the date 8th Sept… then A sliver lid, def silver as smelt bad when I rubbed it with tin foil, again it’s squashed flat and the 2 halves are almost separated. Then 2 super buckles, 2 muskets, a horse head button, a bizzare Roman face, back is inverted, maybe a badge, leather pin, pin head and part of something, little bit of crotal and button, a ring, thimble top and corset fastener, part of a lock, spindle whorl, lead disk, lead bit and spoon handle (?) 3 pot legs, old square nail, bits of buckles and ring, part of a wedding ring, little Jetton, and then my silvers…….. smooth silver coin, 2 Elizabeth 1st hammereds 1570 & 1574… and 2 cut hammereds, not I’d yet!

That is my best ever silver day, totally blown away yet again by this awesome hobby! xx

Not to discount the rest , but a super day on the silvers!

Poor car probably feeling the extra weight of all those recoveries on the way home!
Thanks RC xx erm yes the car is not used to such abuse.. there is a smear of mud over all internal carpets nd surfaces… 😬 needless to say Himself poo pooed my suggestion he gets it valeted back to its former girly glory 🙄 xx 🤗

excellent finds. LOVE the gold pen and the history you found on it's owner. The silver item looks like a lid to a pocket match safe. You had an awesome day indeed.
Thank you… yes!! a match safe… that works… i couldnt think what it was, but looked like something i should know! Thank you xx 🤗

Well blossom you certainly don't disappoint when it comes to finds.
The first item is really cool, is there a hallmark?
I would like to see the inverted side of that Roman guy.
It certainly is interesting.
Great looking Buckles
they'd be dream finds on this side of the pond.

You're well hammered out today, sweet looking Lizzie.
Love token, well done.
Two great looking cut halves.
You did great!
