We went out for a probably last hunt of 2019 today. When detecting the field on one side of a small creek we often looked at the slope on the other side with a cropmark coming from what we call pebble head. (Pebbles coming up on top on a small spot) After having a bust on our villa we decided to jump over and check it out. We have permission there for years, but never tried....
My buddy started going uphill, i went along the creek. Coming closer to the pebbles roman pottery and roof tile frags showed up. I made a turn up to the pebble area and found big foundation stones, bricks and roof tiles laying fresh ploughed up.
