We went out for a probably last hunt of 2019 today. When detecting the field on one side of a small creek we often looked at the slope on the other side with a cropmark coming from what we call pebble head. (Pebbles coming up on top on a small spot) After having a bust on our villa we decided to jump over and check it out. We have permission there for years, but never tried....
My buddy started going uphill, i went along the creek. Coming closer to the pebbles roman pottery and roof tile frags showed up. I made a turn up to the pebble area and found big foundation stones, bricks and roof tiles laying fresh ploughed up.

Really nice coins. Do you plan on sifting that site? There’s no telling what is in that house site area.

As it's fresh ploughed up the location is reported to the archies. It will be GPSed and i detect there more. If there are significant finds an excavation is possible. Most likely it's a site like hundreds others with no special interest by the archies.

looks like an exciting place to hunt

Very nice! We don't have 1800 year old ladies around here. We don't even have 180 year old ladies around here haha.

Cool, looks like more finds to follow....

Wow that looks like a dream site!!! The biggest and smallest coins all in one hunt! Absolutely amazing!!! Congrats on some deep history!

Don’t let TIME TEAM see it[emoji23] they’d be all over that place.
