Amazing Silver Sat & Sun- 2 silver spills and more!!!

What a amazing silver Saturday I had! 2 silver coin spills, one with 3 mercs the other 2 Washingtons. Thought it couldnt get better until I popped out this Walking Half, then to top it all off another merc and a tiny Canadian 5 cent from 1910, and a silver rosie. All found in the same lot here in Vegas. Found out the lot is next door to a home that African American entertainers stayed at while they played at hotels downtown and on the strip in the 30,s 40's and 50's since they were not allowed to stay in the hotels in this era. Sunday decided to hit a lot I never had much luck with but something told me to give it another shot. So glad I did, I dug up a Silver teething ring minus the mother of pearl ring from the 30's or 40's. Think this is my best silver year I have ever had. Hope it continues to the end of the year. HH

I know it sounds crazy but someone here in Vegas gets shot, stabbed, robbed and murderd here almost seems daily. You have ro understand our city is 24 hours with lots of tourist and lots of money and also brings in lots of vagrants because of our somewhat good weather all year long. This happens all over the city just not in the bad areas. I have lived here since 1976 and it really is a great city even though how it sounds. I have raised 3 children here. Yes the first 5 hunts in this area was real scary, lots of crazy looks and a few verbal confrontations, most people are just curious. after a few months hunting I realized even the bad areas has good and bad areas. I stay away the bad and have been become a fixture on the weekends in the good, and realized there are some really nice, honest people who live in these areas there just really down on there luck. I took a chance that I wanted to do with this neighborhood over 15 years ago and its paid off. Just had to grow eyes in the back of my head thats all. Lol.

Thanks for the inspiring words, it has been a great year for me and im definitely thankful. It was the first time I ever seen these also. Love when I find obscure finds.

Thanks Texas Yankee, I'll take u up on that if im ever down that way. Believe it or not I think this is my 4th or 5th for the year on the Walkers. And 6 or 7 on halves total. I never keep track and than just add my totals at the end of the year. Funner that way for me
