Amazing Silver Sat & Sun- 2 silver spills and more!!!

What a amazing silver Saturday I had! 2 silver coin spills, one with 3 mercs the other 2 Washingtons. Thought it couldnt get better until I popped out this Walking Half, then to top it all off another merc and a tiny Canadian 5 cent from 1910, and a silver rosie. All found in the same lot here in Vegas. Found out the lot is next door to a home that African American entertainers stayed at while they played at hotels downtown and on the strip in the 30,s 40's and 50's since they were not allowed to stay in the hotels in this era. Sunday decided to hit a lot I never had much luck with but something told me to give it another shot. So glad I did, I dug up a Silver teething ring minus the mother of pearl ring from the 30's or 40's. Think this is my best silver year I have ever had. Hope it continues to the end of the year. HH

Thanks Argentium, im pretty excited myself about the finds. Decided not to count my silver coins yet till the end of the year. Just keep puttin them in a box.

I was surprised also, it rang up a 76 in my pro which has been a good number for me on tokens. So expecting to see a token when I seen this first thought it was something of jewelry till I put on my glasses and realized it was a coin. One of my favorite coin finds.

Thanks Tnmountains, ive been really lucky in the area I have been hunting in. Its in a not so great neighborhood but it is a very early neighborhood from the early 1900's and hasn't ever been hunted before. Ive pulled every denomination of silver from there. Just have to watch your back.

Man Ray, you have been killing it. Again, CONGRATS! I'm like you, I don't keep a running tab of my finds, I want to be surprised at the end of the year. I have so many places I could hunt, just to be perfectly honest with ya, I'm too scared. I have three disc fused in my neck, if I were to get in a fight/mugged I could end up paralyzed. I hate feeling so fragile and frail, just wish I could get a couple guys to hit these places with me. There is strength in numbers, just there being three or four of us, it would make it very unlikely someone would mess with us.I thought about getting a permit to carry (would almost be impossible in NJ) but then you really have to be able to pull the trigger. Those kind of places, those kind of people, usually have guns and will pull the trigger. For me, it always ends up the same thing, is a few old coins really worth taking that kind of chance? That's for me, I'm talking about.
