I haven't had much time to hunt lately,,,work has me extremely busy,,,,that's OK though!!!
Got out for a bit on Saturday,,,went to my wife's first cousin's place in the country,,,,house was built in 1950,,,but I figured there was an old house there before,,,,,Started in the front yard,,,,got a few wheats then I hit a strong penny signal at 4",,popped out this sweet Commonwealth of Australia large Penny,, 1920,,,,,,
Now for the really sweet find!!! Went to the back yard by the garden and got a sweet Qtr. signal at 5" and dug a plug,,,probed the hole and it's still in there,,,scooped out a big handful of dirt and I see a silver edge in the dirt,,,,,I'm thinking alright!! Silver Qtr.,,,picked it up and saw this dudes face and at first I thought it was a Capped Bust,,,,but knew right away,, that's not right,,turned it over and I knew right away what it was,,,,,1817 2 Reale!!!!!!!!
Now I'm really PUMPED!!!!!!!!!
How it came to rest in a yard in Iowa I have no clue,,,but I'm glad it did!!!! Goes to show,,,you just never know!!! Thanks for looking!!!! Dan
