Dug this aluminum ?token? this am at a local park. It was about 6" deep. Curious as to the writing and origin

Nice find... :thumbsup: What's on the reverse side? I have found many aluminum tokens/game pieces, mostly from Shell Oil from the 60's/70's.

Good deduction Loco, but if both sides are the same and in the same orientation (head faces same direction) then it will look the same, I think.

This language/ writing is not Greek or Latin, best I can make. There are only 15 of the 26 letters of the modern alphabet represented on the token, not seeing 11 of them, i.e., B H J K L Q U W X Y Z. I think this token is encrypted and the letters that are on it are in a sequence known to the owner, possibly a member of a secret society or fraternity.

Any cryptologists out there to solve the mystery? Sub 8-)
