I found these two pieces 40 feet apart one has a hole in the indentation, other than that they are symmetrical. They were press formed and both have a little wear on the short end of the ring. This is just holding them together, I don’t know if they go together or not, but it looks like they could.

The wear would make sense, but I can’t figure out why only one hole in the pair. I would think those would be a symmetrical pairing. That is a real good chance it’s what it is I guess.
