✅ SOLVED Aluminum pieces.

I found these two pieces 40 feet apart one has a hole in the indentation, other than that they are symmetrical. They were press formed and both have a little wear on the short end of the ring. This was in an old barn lot. Any help is appreciated. I’ve got my farm boy friends stumped.

The wear would make sense, but I can’t figure out why only one hole in the pair. I would think those would be a symmetrical pairing. That is a real good chance it’s what it is I guess.
