Aluminum and #2 Insulated Copper prices took a nosedive

Went in to my local yard yesterday and I was disappointed to see prices for aluminum and #2 insulated wire continue to nosedive. Tin went up by $10/nt and batteries are now 10cents a pound. This is all Canadian dollars.

I decided to keep my diecast back in the garage as the barrel isn't full yet. Judging by current pricing it will be a good long time before I take it in.
 

I haven't been to the yard in awhile here in VA but do you think it is only in Canada that the prices are dropping? Maybe I will call today to check.
