That's still pretty cool. I hope you catch him on the return trip.

Things do not always go as planned.. I had seen a bobcat track on this trail and it was traveling in the opposite direction...I set a DSLR camera trap and got these.. ( This was the second day with a new set so hopefully it'll return again from the other way for a face shot. )
They are truly beautiful animals .

At least we get to see the tail clearly.😁

There has been a few spotted around my part of the world this spring.

Wow! Looks healthy and large!

Great pic guy... Good job.

20 yrs ago here in Middle TN. we had a pair of Rottweilers. A large male and a smaller female. We live in a very rural area surrounded by woods, ridges and gully's. Many, many wild animals abound around here. One day the pair walked off into the woods together which was normal. They'd be gone for 1/2 hr or 1 hr. After 3 days the female came home. Her chest, front legs were torn up. Her one ear was shredded and part of her nose was gone. Took her to vet. He stated they probably came across a bobcat kill and got their asses kicked. He said the rake/scratches on her underside were from bobcat claws. He said the male was probably killed or disemboweled quickly and the female got away before her death. She probably stayed around him till his death and then came home. Vet said 2 Rots were no match for a bobcat....!!!!!

Good one. Fingers crossed for a return shot.
If it was my luck it would, but it would be dragging its prey backwards to somewhere and id still get a rear shot.
Great looking animals but Im glad we don't have them here in a way.

I like them. I've watched them many times. Their just not an animal you'd ever want to do hand to hand combat with.

Nice photos on the going away part! Good luck on the coming in shots! Great pictures if you like tail! :laughing7:
