Almost newbie

Im wanting to get into metal detecting i found a Pioneer 101 at a pawn shop they want 70$ for it should i get it or wait to find something else ??

Get it ...if you dont like it you can always resell at the pawn shop...But I think you will be hooked and will want a better one before too long....

If the pawn shop jobbie doesn't work well, you could be turned off to a wonderful hobby. I say to go for a name brand that has a warranty. Course they cost more, but you at least will have one to start out that you'll have confidence with.

Time is the only thing you never get back, don't waste it.
