It's just step by step banning of all firearms pure and simple. They showed two AR15 guns on TV. Under the assult weapon laws purposed, the AR15 with the pistol grip would be banned while the AR15 with the non-pistol grip stock remains legal. Since both have the same range,accuracy and power, and in fact fire the exact same cartridges, this law makes no sense. It's like having two cars next to each other, both with the same options and saying one is illegal because it is painted a different color. It's a give a foot, take the whole rope case. Frank

I agree with you.. But some people just don't get it an probably never will.. Hey I for one am not going to let myself or any other 2nd amendment supporter be disarmed.. Most people think that it will be no big deal.. But to them I say this do you really want to live in a country where you have no means to protect yourself not only from crimminals but your own government.. That is a scrary thought that the only protection you will be afforded is what they see needed.. What a joke that would be.. Not this guy me and my matching bushmasters will protect me and my family and any other person brave enough to tell them to get bent if they try to take my firearms away..

And for four years I heard from my lib friends say that bush should be impeached. And of course they did actually try and impeach Clinton - complete waste of time. And remember Reagan and Iran / contra. And dont get me started on carter!!! guess a better question might be what pres DIDNT/DOESN'T deserve to get impeached. And I'd throw most all of congress in that category for good measure!!

Lets hope the politicians have enough sense to focus on some more important things like fixing this economy. Politicians were so distracted by the Clinton impeachment that they let al Qaida build up a lot of power unhindered and look where that got us a few years later. Make the politicians deal with the real issues like economy, balanced budgets, taxes, etc. instead of distracting us all with political infighting as usual.

Every year and ever pres someone is saying impeach. Lets hope the politicians stay focussed on real business of the country like getting people employed.

Commander in chief did not get there alone. Changing names a gamble,might feel good but who is on deck. A 4 yr. Opportunity will come up again. Last cycle went the way it did why? Preparation and candidates that appeal to the majority win. Start now or scramble at the end. Public has changed,need to address that this time. Its about more than a figure head,voters are from the local levels as are representatives,if they don,t hold firm to 2nd ,loss starting long before the top just like today. Start at the bottom!.m.h.o. energy best spent on what was done right to win first,then if affordable on what is /was wrong. Top that with an campaign or lose again. Support for the second amendment alone won,t win.
